So you know that I commute every day to work on public transportation. To make up for my lack of physical activity I walk up and down the stairs/escalators in the MTR station. I wear my Toms that are white and blue stripped; they look like moccasins. I bring my heels in my bag and just change into them when I get to work. This is common in most cities and some women in the office even keep shoe organizers underneath their desks with a few varieties. Well, this is apparently a really good idea because one day I completely forgot my heels. I didn't realize it until I was walking into the office. I was wearing a full on suit that day and these flat stripped slipper looking things. I looked ridiculous. It was at this moment that my coworker, Jen, realized how short I am. She couldn't get over it. She just kept saying, "You're so small, you're so tiny, oh my gosh so cute and little!"
I think everyone got a good laugh and while I tried to just stay at my desk that day we ended up going out to grab lunch. Oh well!
