Taxis
A quick post about taxis in Hong Kong - they are insane. Oh, and really cheap. When we went to the Stanley Markets it was about a 20 minute drive and cost about $13 USD. One of our first taxi rides with our new boss was the craziest car rides I've ever taken. It was only our first night there, too! our poor boss kept pleading with the driver, "Please driver slower, be safe, please driver, stop!" I could do nothing but laugh and lock my door so I wouldn't fly out. At one point I'm pretty sure we went up on two wheels. We bobbed and weaved through traffic at really high speeds. It was really crazy and I thought we were going to hit something. We were extremely close to other cars, but I later realized that's just how close taxis get. I have not had this crazy of a drive since, but some have come a little close! Since then I stick to the MTR or walk since there is so much traffic in Hong Kong taxis just take forever.
