It's official - A weekend visit to my other homeland!

Even though the polls voted for Thailand, I am headed to the island of Cebu in the Philippines this weekend! We actually did try to book a Thailand trip because we've been told it's the ultimate in Asian hospitality, but because there is a month long festival going on the flights were completely booked or not ideal times for us or just really expensive!

Elaine and I could not be more excited about going to Cebu this weekend! I mean, seriously, look at this picture...

Cebu Island was named 4th best island destination in Asia-Pacific by a UK travel magazine. It looks amazing and we are staying at a 5 star resort right on the beach. Our plan is to just relax and soak in some sun! I'm sure we'll explore the island, get massages, and have a few tropical cocktails.

I am so excited to be visiting the homeland of my maternal grandmother. I have always wanted to go to the Philippines and the timing couldn't be better. I am exhausted!
